“MASTERS OF THE SEA”
Around 10 am last July 22, the strip of land facing the shore came back to life as the atmosphere of this year’s 10th Baroto Regatta was electrifying, the crowd brimming with energy as they cheer on a total of 21 boats slicing their way through the water, head to head with the other fisher folks powering their way to the horizon.
The race started at the embarkadero wharf making a turning point at Payao area and finished back at the wharf. Spicing up our annual town fiesta, the blazing heat of the sun was not a hindrance for them to showcase their mastery in paddling. In the end, (Ramon Sulib Jr., 46) topped for the first spot, (Rodulfo Jalang, 48) bagged the second prize, and (Mario Retiza, 49) settled for third place. Congratulations!!!
